Do you charge sales tax?

ChoiceArt is located in Columbus, Ohio and we are required by law to collect sales tax on orders shipped to an Ohio address.

How do I change my billing information?

If you have previously ordered from us, you can change your billing information by selecting My Account and following the on-screen instructions.

How long does it take to receive my order?

ChoiceArt custom manufactures each item that you order.  We will ship your framed art orders within 5 to 10 business days. In the unlikely event your order will take longer, we will notify you of any delay.

FedEx and Pilot Air Freight delivery times range between 1 to 5 days.

You can view your order status at any time by selecting My Account.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes. You can track your shipment by selecting My Account and noting the tracking number for your order. You can track your order by going to http://www.fedex.com/ or http://www.pilotair.com/.

How do you ship?

All orders except oversized shipments are shipped via FedEx ground service.

All oversized framed art (32” X 44” or larger) is shipped via Pilot Air Freight(Continental U.S.), FedEx 2-Day (2-day service to Alaska and Hawaii) or FedEx International Economy (3-day service to Canada and Puerto Rico).

Deliveries to APO’s and FPO's are shipped via US Postal Service. Due to USPS restrictions, we cannot ship an OS3 box size to APO’s or FPO’s.

A street address and phone number are required for all shipments.

ChoiceArt cannot deliver to a P.O. box.

What is the cost of shipping and handling?

The cost of shipping and handling for all shipments within the continental United States are already included in our prices, so no additional charges will be applied.

The shipping rates for orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are $53.00 each. The shipping rates for orders shipped to Canada are $47.00 each. ChoiceArt will automatically calculate the shipping charges prior to submitting your order during the ordering process.

Shipments to destinations outside the U.S. may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees, which are levied once your package is delivered. These fees must be borne by the order’s recipient. The intended recipient will be considered the importer of record and must comply with all the laws and regulations of the country in which the goods are being received. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local post office or FedEx office for further information about local duties, taxes, and customs regulations.

Will you ship to destinations outside the continental USA?

Yes, we currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Canada. If you would like to ship elsewhere, please contact us at customerservice@choiceart.com.

Can I ship to a location that is different from my billing address?

Yes. To ship to another address, enter your address in the billing information field and the shipping address in the shipping information field on the Enter Details page during the ordering process.

What are your return and cancellation policies?

ChoiceArt offers the finest designs and best value in the decorative arts’ world.  We are so confident that you will be absolutely delighted with your purchase that we offer a 30-day money back guarantee. We will refund 100% of your purchase price (less shipping and handling charges) if you are not completely satisfied for any reason. Returned merchandise must be properly packed in its original packaging. Shipped pre-paid and received by us in excellent condition within 30 days from date of shipment. To initiate a return, call 1-800-321-1949, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM EST to receive an RMA #. All returned orders must be accompanied by an RMA# to receive credit. The maximum return credit is $1,000. Returns of greater value will be issued merchandise credit.

Orders that are cancelled 24 hours after receipt of order will incur a 15% restocking fee.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

ChoiceArt ships each item in custom designed, state of the art packaging to ensure its safe delivery. In the unlikely event that your shipment is received damaged or incorrect, please notify us immediately at 1-800-321-1949, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM EST. Please note your order number, name, phone number and description of the damages or discrepancy. We will issue a call tag to have the merchandise picked up and we will promptly ship a replacement at no charge. Please do not throw out the box or any packaging material that you received, as all items must be returned in their original packaging within 30 days of shipment.

How do I return a product?

To initiate a return, call 1-800-321-1949, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM EST to receive an RMA #. Returned merchandise must be properly packed in its original packaging and received by us in excellent condition within 30 days of date of shipment to receive a refund. Why do some of your prints contain text or logos embedded in the artwork?

To protect their copyrights, some publisher’s and/or artist require the use of watermarks or logos on their Internet images. The watermarks or logos do not exist on the actual prints.

Can I just purchase your prints unframed?

ChoiceArt is dedicated to providing you with a complete framed art decorating solution and as such, we do not sell prints unframed.

Can I purchase just a frame, mat, or glass?

ChoiceArt does not sell individual framing components. However, we do have plans in the future to offer framing packages for our customer’s personal artwork.

How accurate are the colors and details on my monitor?

The actual prints and framing components we use are of much higher quality than is viewable on your monitor. Framing Component Terms:

Frame

The frame creates a solid, decorative outer shell surrounding your artwork. Our frames come in a variety of high quality materials such as solid woods, wood composites and aluminum. The frame is a highly decorative element and is available in many different sizes, colors and finishes to enhance your art.

Stacked Frames

A stacked frame is a series of frames placed inside each other to create a new dynamic framing style.

Liner

A liner is a fabric-covered frame that is positioned inside of the outer frame and is often used in place of a mat. Liners are typically used on Canvas Effect prints.

Fillet

A fillet is a very thin accent frame used in conjunction with another frame, liner or mat board. This design enhancement typically complements the outside frame and offers a very upscale look.

Decorative Corners

Decorative corners are ornament enhancements that are added to the four corners of a frame. They come in a variety of colors and style’s and add a distinctive flair to the over-all design.

Mat Board

A mat board is a thick paperboard product that is used to enhance the artwork that it surrounds, and to separate the glass from the artwork. Mat boards come in a variety of sizes, colors, and patterns. Mat boards are most frequently stacked using various combinations of colors and widths to further enhance the art. They can also be cut, carved and painted to add additional decorative elements to the overall design.

Image Mats

Image mats utilize the outside margin of the art as its surface paper. They give the over-all design a unique three-dimensional quality, as the matting becomes an integral part of the over-all art.

V-Grooves

A v-groove is a decorative edge that has been cut into the mat board.  Rather than drawing a line on the mat, the v-groove is a custom cut design used as a delicate enhancement to the mat window.  The line creates a tiny “v”, or trench in the mat and can be created to go in any direction, but is typically cut to follow the geometry of the rectangle mat.

Open V-Grooves

Also known as an underlay, this design takes the v-groove bevels and separates them, exposing the second mat board underneath.  Using a double mat design, the open v-groove reveals the bottom mat twice, once near the picture’s edge, and then again when the v-groove is opened up, creating a dynamic color boarder that draws the eye around the mat as well as the picture.

French Lines

This is a delicate line drawn directly on the mat.  It follows the mat border as a subtle compliment of the colors in the art print.

Painted Bevels

Every mat board opening that is crafted is cut with a 45° bevel to expose the decorative thickness of the mat.  A painted bevel is color that has been drawn onto the bevel to improve the visual character of the bevel, and compliment the local color of the art print.

Canvas Effect

Canvas Effect prints use an acrylic gel that is directly applied to the art print to give the illusion of an original textured oil painting. The protective gel is used in place of traditional framing glass or framing plexiglass. Canvas Effect prints do not use mat boards by very typically use a linen liner within the outside frame and the artwork.

Glazing

Glazing is the protective glass or acrylic layer placed on the top of framed prints, posters, and many original pieces of art.  Framing glass is a durable glass used as a primary glazing for many small, medium, and large prints. Framing quality plexiglass is an acrylic sheet that is more durable, much lighter, and is clearer than the slightly tinted framing glass. 

Print

A print is a piece of art that has been reproduced from the original and sold in larger quantities for a bigger viewing audience.  Limited print editions are pieces that are sold in limited quantities and are signed by the artist. When the edition is closed, the photo mechanic cells used to print from are destroyed.  Open editions are more common for mass sale and rarely have an edition number to follow, and can close and be reopened again as the artist or publishers desires.

Poster

A poster is very similar to a print, but these reproductions are more inexpensively created, using thinner papers and less lightfast inks. They are found in a multitude of non-framing retail outlets.
